Design Heuristic card #50 (a) Front features a visual and verbal description of the card. (b) Back features two examples in design of how the card could be applied (used in Ostrowski et al, 2017)
Biomedical student team’s process of using Design Heuristic cards considering their problem statement and engaging in individual concept generation and team concept generation. Example of ideas from these stages are shown above (Ostrowski et al, 2017).
Design Heuristics are an idea generation tool designed to help expand designers' idea generation spaces, increasing the quantity and variety of ideas. In this project, we investigated if and how Design Heuristics can be applied to biomedical engineering.
